Jul 07, · Pretty good, not perfect. A variety of tape sources. The Monkees has "Saturday's Child," "Tomorrow's Gonna Be Another Day" and "Take A Giant Step" in mono, the rest in stereo. Some tracks are remixes. Most of it sounds like the Rhino vinyl reissue (including the long fade on "This Just Doesn't Seem To Be My Day") except "Papa Gene's Blues" is in stereo (I think a new remix for this CD.

The compilers of hits collections tend to lean toward hyperbole in their titles, when they don't fall right over into lying. So, perhaps we shouldn't be too hard on a pleasant-enough budget-priced album called The Ultimate Hits of the 90s, even though, to be strictly accurate, it would have to be called something like "A Bunch of Miscellaneous Hits from the early '90s."/5(3).

Frequency 99 - Greatest Hits of the `90's: 30 songs that actually covers the late 's to the mid 's, this is a very good, high quality, collection. A lot of fun. This is a solid Four Star album/5(12).
